Space-starved Mumbai airport has commissioned a new taxiway, which can double up as a parking stand, said the airport spokesperson.
‘Taxiway Z’ “allows for a drastic cut down in total taxi time post landing and reduces carbon footprint”, said Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) in a statement on Tuesday.
“This initiative is expected to result in improvement of on-time performance by reducing entry and exit time of aircraft,” said MIAL.
