Tamil Nadu continues to be on the lists of states where corona is spreading fast. The government is taking various measures to control the spread of corona. As part of this, the Tamil Nadu government has increased the fine for those who do not wear a mask in public places from Rs 200 to Rs 500 to prevent the spread of the disease during the Pongal festival.
Speaking at a press conference this morning, Health Secretary Radhakrishnan said, “Up to 25-30% of hospital facilities were required during the delta virus outbreak. The federal government estimates that only 5 to 10% of omega-3 cases require hospitalization. The risk is lower for those who have been vaccinated with two doses. Those who have not yet been vaccinated should be vaccinated. Both the covaxin and Covshield vaccines are adequate in Tamil Nadu. We have requested the Central Government to provide more vaccines, ”he said.
“If they are diagnosed with a cold, cough or fever, they must have a corona test. No one should be indifferent, since omicron cause the most damage to the nose and throat. Wearing a mask can help prevent infections and the spread of disease, ”he said.
