Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar says chief secy doesn’t answer his calls, govt officers don’t follow law
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday lashed out at the state bureaucrats, saying they don’t follow the law and don’t know “what the governor’s house can do”.
Speaking to media after paying homage to Dr BR Ambedkar at his statue in the West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday, Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “I have tried a lot that everyone works according to law. Government officers have forgotten to work under law. But they don’t know what governor house can do,” he said.
Dhankhar claimed that the state chief secretary did not pick up his calls.
The governor also hit out at Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, saying he is not holding up any bills at his office. The state government has made allegations that bills like the Howrah Municipality Bill are being held by the governor.
